Knicks head coach Mike Brown announced Friday after their 111-99 loss against the Hawks that Hart has been cleared for light court work as he recovers from a right ankle sprain. He will be re-evaluated in one week.
Hart already missed four consecutive games for the Knicks. The wingman sustained his ankle injury in the team's Christmas Day win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
As such, Hart's absence has been significantly felt by the Knicks, who have now gone 2-2 on the given stretch without him.
In 28 games, Hart is tallying 12.3 points, 8.0 boards, 5.1 assists and 1.4 steals this season for New York. The Knicks will face the 76ers, Pistons and the Clippers for the upcoming week.
