Jordi Fernandez still likes Nets’ fight despite loss to Wizards

The Brooklyn Nets fell 119–99 to the Washington Wizards, and the numbers were harsh. The Nets were outrebounded 51–33, and every player finished with a negative plus-minus. Even so, Nets coach Jordi Fernandez focused on fight and growth. He said, “I like the fight all the way through… the guys never gave up.” He pointed straight to the problems: defense and turnovers, especially in transition. Those swings, he said, became “four to six-point” hits that added up fast.

Fernandez also stressed patience with players in new roles and vowed that the staff will push for “1% better every day.” The effort is real. The results must follow. The Wizards matchup stung but can the Nets turn fight into wins next game?
