Orlando Magic coach Jamahl Mosley addressed Jalen Suggs latest injury after the guard exited against the Bulls with a right knee strain.
Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs suffered another injury scare just days after returning to the lineup.
Suggs made his comeback on New Year's Eve against the Indiana Pacers, but his return was short-lived. In Friday's 121-114 loss to the Chicago Bulls, the Magic guard left the game in the third quarter with what the team called a right knee strain and did not return.
The injury happened when Bulls big man Jalen Smith accidentally landed on Suggs while trying to block a layup. After the game, Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley said the team will know more once they return home and complete further tests.
"He fights his tail [off] to get back with us, and then hopefully it’s not bad," Mosley said, according to the Orlando Sentinel's Jason Beede.
Suggs has already dealt with multiple setbacks this season. He started the year coming back from left knee surgery, then suffered a hip injury during the Emirates Cup semifinals against the New York Knicks
That issue forced him to miss seven games before finally returning earlier this week.
"For him to keep fighting and stepping out there on the court with these guys is what we're going to continue to need from him," Mosley added.
Now the Magic wait for answers. Orlando is set to return home for a game against the Pacers on January 4, followed by road games against the Washington Wizards and Brooklyn Nets.
