Fulham vs Liverpool team news: 11 players ruled out and four more stars doubtful

Liverpool 0-0 Leeds: Match Review

Liverpool and Fulham injury news ahead of the Premier League fixture at Craven Cottage.

Liverpool will look to deliver an improved performance when they travel to Fulham in the Premier League.

The Reds raised the curtain on 2026 with a lacklustre 0-0 draw against Leeds United. Arne Slot’s side’s performance was toothless and lacked a cutting edge - and that is something that cannot happen again.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their past eight matches in all competitions, although supporters still feel more is required. At the halfway stage of the season, the Reds are fourth in the table although their Premier League title defence is over as they sit 12 points behind leaders Arsenal.

Fulham are dangerous opposition and their 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace stretched their unbeaten run to four games. Last season, the Reds suffered a 3-2 loss at Craven Cottage and they’ll know they’re in for a stern test.

Ahead of the game, here is the latest team news for both sides.

Fulham team news

Kenny Tete - out

The right-back was forced off with a hamstring issue during Fulham’s clash with Palace. Silva has admitted that it’s very unlikely that Tete will be fit for Sunday.

Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze - out

The trio are representing Nigeria at AFCON.

Rodrigo Muniz - out

The forward had hamstring surgery in November and is still on the road to recovery.

Ryan Sessegnon - doubt

The versatile left-sided player has missed the Cottagers’ past five games with a hamstring issue.

Josh King - doubt

The forward missed the Palace game with a knee issue. Silva is unsure whether King will make a recovery in time to face Liverpool and he must be assessed.

Liverpool team news

Mo Salah - out

The winger is representing Egypt at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) so is unavailable.

Alexander Isak - out

The striker suffered a broken leg during a 2-1 win at Tottenham last month and will not be available for a couple of months, at least.

Giovanni Leoni - out

The centre-back suffered a cruel ACL blow on his Liverpool debut in September. Slot recently confirmed that Leoni will not play again this season.

Wataru Endo - out

The midfielder is recovering from an ankle issue that he sustained during a 3-3 draw at Leeds United almost a month ago.

Stefan Bajcetic - out

The well-regarded midfielder is still to make an appearance this season. Bajcetic had hamstring surgery in the summer after suffering his problem on loan at Las Palmas.

Jayden Danns - out

The teenage striker would likely be on the bench in the absence of Isak if fit. But Danns is currently on the comeback trail from a hamstring issue.

Joe Gomez - doubt

Slot confirmed that the defender was set to return to training yesterday. However, much will depend on how Gomez’s body reacts to stepping up his workload.

Florian Wirtz - minor doubt

Slot admitted that the attacking midfielder had a hamstring issue in the build-up to the Leeds game. Wirtz was subbed off in the 66th minute after a lacklustre display by his recent standards so he may have to be assessed.
