Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul have officially added Gabonese big man Chris Silva to their roster, agreeing to a 1+1 year deal. Yagiz Sabuncuoglu of Sports Digitale was the first to report on the transfer. He reportedly drew interest from multiple EuroLeague teams.
In 2019, Silva made it to the NBA, signing a two-way contract with the Miami Heat. He even appeared in the 2020 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Since then, he has had stops with several teams, including the Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, and multiple G-League affiliates. He also gained international experience with stints in Puerto Rico, Israel, and Greece.
During the 2025-26 season with AEK Athens, Silva averaged 14.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists across five Basketball Champions League games.
He also shined in international play, posting 25.0 points, 14.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game in FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers for Gabon.
His performances earned him MVP honors for the BCL Group Stage in 2025-26.
