Liverpool boss Arne Slot has confirmed Florian Wirtz could have missed the Leeds game due to a hamstring injury.
The Dutchman admitted that he took a risk by starting the attacking midfielder on New Year’s Day as the German had felt a twinge after the win over Wolves:
“Florian only trained once this week because two days after the game, he felt his hamstring still a bit.”
There is no suggestion that Wirtz won’t play this weekend, even though he was substituted in the second half of the draw against Leeds.

Joe Gomez
The defender has been sidelined for the last three games after being forced off during the 2-0 win over Brighton last month.
Slot says he expects Gomez to train ahead of the trip to Craven Cottage on Sunday, but it is unlikely that he will be fit enough to start.
The very most that Reds fans can hope for is that the 28-year-old is back on the bench this weekend.
