Chicago Bulls legend Ron Harper blasts NBA’s streaming situation

The state of watching NBA games has frustrated many, including the five-time NBA Champion, Ron Harper.

As a stacked slate of games took place on Friday night, Harper took to social media to express his displeasure with how difficult it was to find games that he wanted to watch, due to matchups being on different streaming channels.

All of this streaming sports is out of control I was watching the San Antonio Spurs game and wanted to watch the New York Knicks, I couldn’t. I wanted to watch the Brooklyn Nets, I couldn’t. Then the Denver Nuggets, I couldn’t because they’re on different streaming channels. I call greedy BS!!!!

Harper is just one of many fans of the game to call out the difficulty of finding ways to watch specific games outside of your area on a nightly basis.

It’s not just an NBA issue. American sports in general are becoming difficult to find as leagues have struck many deals with a wide array of streaming companies over the years.

While the state of NBA streaming is unlikely to change anytime soon, a player with a reputation like Harper’s can at least hold some weight for future discussions about it.

Harper is a longtime NBA veteran with over 1,000 games played. He started his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers as an eighth-overall pick out of Miami Ohio. He had stints with the Cavs, Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

During his long career, Harper averaged 13.8 points, 3.9 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. He totaled 13,910 points, 4,309 rebounds, and 3,915 assists.

The ex-Bulls standout was a part of five championship teams. He was also an NBA All-Rookie member in 1987, recognized as a first-teamer.
