Current owners of the No. 5 spot in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers are 18-14 this season and claim back-to-back road wins over the Dallas Mavericks (123-108) and Memphis Grizzlies (139-136). While VJ Edgecombe played the hero in the overtime win over Memphis, guard Tyrese Maxey led the way in Thursday’s win over the Mavs with 34 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists. Philadelphia enters the head-to-head matchup with the Knicks sitting four games back of the Atlantic Division lead.

The Knicks lead the way in the Atlantic and sit second in the East behind the Detroit Pistons with their 23-11 record, which includes losses in each of their past two games to the San Antonio Spurs (134-132) and Atlanta Hawks (111-99). The Knicks were victims of their own woeful shooting Thursday night against the Hawks, hitting just 37% of their shots overall and 9-of-42 from 3-point range in losing just their third home game of the year.
