Celtics vs. Clippers: The matchup
Still without the services of superstar Jayson Tatum, the Celtics have turned a big corner since opening the season with seven losses in their first 12 games. Boston is 16-5 in 21 games since then, 6-1 in their past seven, and 3-1 on their current road trip after wins over the Utah Jazz (129-119) and Sacramento Kings (120-106) on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 29 points as they outscored the Kings, 32-18, in the fourth quarter of their Thursday night win.

The Clippers are 1.5-point underdogs at the Intuit Dome as they look to continue a recent hot streak of their own. The team owns the longest current winning streak in the NBA at six games, which began with four straight wins over teams currently in position to reach the playoffs. Last time out, Leonard topped the 40-point mark for the third time in five games with 45 points on 16-of-29 shooting in a 118-101 win over the Utah Jazz.
