Arsenal continued their push for the Premier League title with a 3-2 win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday night
Arsenal remain in control in the Premier League title race as they made it 15 wins from 20 games on Saturday night with a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth.
The Gunners went 1-0 down after 10 minutes but took just six minutes to respond as Gabriel equalised to cancel out Evanilson’s opener. The centre-back had been guilty of an error for the Cherries’ goal but did not take long to atone for his mistake.
Declan Rice then scored twice in the second half to put the visitors 3-1 up. A stunning goal from Eli Junior Kroupi got Bournemouth back within a goal but they were unable to find an equaliser as Arsenal made it five wins in a row.
After an impressive summer transfer window, not much needs done in the immediate future to improve Arsenal’s squad.
Speaking about potential January business, Arteta said on Friday: “We are open to every option. Obviously if we can find a solution that is short, medium and long, it’s always much better because it gives you stability and you don’t have to constantly start a process with a new player, but let’s see what happens, let’s see what the news is in the next few weeks and we’ll try to make the right decision.”
It has now been claimed that Arsenal have made an official offer to Real Madrid as they look to get a deal done.
However, they are not the only club interested as Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have also made the same offer. He has been offered a ‘significantly higher salary’ by the Saudi club but Arsenal have offered him consistent game-time. His representatives are said to be ‘carefully considering’ the offer from Al-Hilal.
It is something he is not getting at Real Madrid and moving to North London would see the Brazilian become part of the Premier League title race and the Gunners’ push for the Champions League.
