LeBron James Shows Love to Bronny James After Viral Highlight

LeBron James had the night off on Saturday, as the Los Angeles Lakers were in between games.

However, it wasn't an off night for his son, Bronny James. As the second-year guard is still working on his development with the Lakers, the team had James assigned to the NBA G League with the South Bay Lakers.

In an overtime battle between the Lakers and the Memphis Hustle, Bronny James had an impressive night full of highlight plays. One sequence, in particular, stood out to LeBron.

"The AIR different up there!" LeBron wrote on social media in response to Bronny's highlight-reel dunk.

Bronny collected the start for the South Bay Lakers on Saturday.

The sophomore guard checked in for 30 minutes. He had an efficient shooting outing by going 8-11 from the field and knocking down both of his free throws. James produced 20 points, seven assists, and five rebounds.

While Bronny doesn't spend a ton of time in the G League, he has appeared in eight games with the LA affiliate this year. During the Tip-Off Tournament run, Bronny averaged 30 minutes of playing time in six games. He produced 9.5 points (35 percent from the field), along with 3.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists.

In the two post-tourney matchups before Saturday's action, he posted averages of 15.5 points (57 percent), 1.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.

Saturday's action included a 125-121 victory for the Lakers. It was a solid follow-up after LeBron and the Lakers' main roster took down the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

The Lakers and the Grizzlies will meet for a rematch on Sunday. Bronny's status for the game is unclear. This year, the former second-round pick has 18 appearances with the Lakers' primary roster. He's still a work in progress as far as becoming a full-time player goes.
