In Thursday’s loss to the Heat, Cade Cunningham led the way for the Pistons as he recorded 31 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists while Marcus Sasser added 18 points and four rebounds of his own off the bench.

Now Detroit will try to bounce back on Sunday as they face off against the Cavaliers in a tough road matchup.

On the other side, Cleveland enters Sunday’s contest with a 20-16 record after defeating the Denver Nuggets at home on Friday night.

Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Cavaliers in Friday’s victory as he ended the game with 33 points, six rebounds and five assists while Darius Garland recorded 18 points and eight assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday afternoon’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Pistons, they have three players listed on their injury report, including both Jalen Duren and Tobias Harris.

Detroit has ruled out Duren due to a right ankle sprain that he suffered in Thursday’s loss to the Heat and he is expected to miss at least one week due to the injury.

With Duren sidelined, Isaiah Stewart and Paul Reed will likely be in line for larger roles moving forward.

The Pistons have also ruled out Harris due to a left hip sprain as he will miss his second consecutive contest and he is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks due to the injury.

With Harris out, Javonte Green and Ron Holland II could both continue to have larger roles until the veteran forward is cleared to return.

Caris LeVert has also been ruled out due to right knee inflammation as he will miss his third consecutive contest.

Cavaliers Injury Report, Will Jarrett Allen, Sam Merrill Play?

On the other side, the Cavaliers have five players listed on their injury report, including both Jarrett Allen and Sam Merrill.

Cleveland has listed Allen as questionable due to an illness and he is in danger of missing his first game since December 12.

If Allen is sidelined against the Pistons, Thomas Bryant could have an increased role off the bench behind Evan Mobley.

The Cavaliers have also listed Merrill as questionable due to an ankle injury while Dean Wade is questionable with a knee injury.

Larry Nance Jr. and Max Strus have been ruled out as they continue to be sidelined while recovering from injuries.
