Liverpool were dealt a late blow at Craven Cottage as Harrison Reed came off the bench to rescue a point for Fulham. Cody Gakpo had looked to have sealed the win for the Reds in stoppage time, only for Reed to strike moments later.

Earlier in the second half, Florian Wirtz had brought Liverpool level after Harry Wilson opened the scoring for the hosts. Both of those goals required intervention from the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), with Wilson and Wirtz initially seeing their efforts ruled out for offside.

Wilson's strike was eventually awarded after VAR overturned the on‑field decision, while Wirtz also had to wait for confirmation. His celebrations were briefly halted, but the away end erupted once the equaliser was finally given.

Given the 2-2 draw and Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, Liverpool are now 14 points behind Mikel Arteta’s side, who they will face on Thursday night at the Emirates Stadium.
