Liam Rosenior to be announced Chelsea manager on Monday

The Strasbourg manager oversaw their 1-1 draw with Nice in Ligue 1 on Saturday, but seems as if he is on the brink of becoming the new head coach at Stamford Bridge.

Journalist Julien Laurens has stated that Rosenior has already arrived in London, where he will sign his contract to become the new manager.

He said: “Liam Rosenior arrived in London this afternoon. He will sign his Chelsea contract and his appointment should be announced tomorrow.”

Despite the strong showing from McFarlane, it was likely made clear to him that he would not be in line for the permanent gig.

Rosenior ready to get the best out of two Chelsea players

Santos made a real impact off the bench for Chelsea, and he will be one of the players who is delighted to see Rosenior walk through the door.

The Brazilian enjoyed an excellent loan spell at Strasbourg under the Englishman, even being named captain on occasion.

Liam Delap has also worked under Rosenior, and he will be confident he can build on his brilliant cameo against City with a run of games.

The new manager would likely to love to utilise some of the players he already knows, and this could see both Santos and Delap feature far more than before.
