Tijjani Reijnders scores for Manchester City

Manchester City conceded a late equaliser to lose further ground in the Premier League title race in a draw that could do them further damage. Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias were both forced off the pitch with injury before Enzo Fernandez scored an injury-time equaliser for Chelsea to further dent the Blues.

Tijjani Reijnders got the important breakthrough for City towards the end of the first half, rifling into the roof of the net after picking up on a loose ball that had cannoned into his path. City were the better team throughout the game, but weren't good enough in attack to earn a bigger advantage.

With six minutes of injury time, Malo Gusto beat Nico O'Reilly and swung in a ball that fell to Enzo Fernandez and Gianluigi Donnarumma couldn't keep out second time having made a fine point blank save. Here are the player ratings from the _Manchester Evening News_.

**Donnarumma:** A decent save in the second half and then he raced to look after Khusanov late on. **7**

**Nunes:** Helped Silva out on the right wing, had a few sticky moments defensively but came through them. **7**

**Dias:** Did well to make sure Chelsea were limited to scraps and kept City pushing forwards, although the injury will be a concern. **7**

**Gvardiol:** Some good, some build-up play that infuriated Guardiola, and then a worrying injury at the start of the second half. **6**

**O'Reilly:** There was some improvement on recent performances but he was still beaten far too easily by Gusto for the goal. **6**

**Rodri:** The best player on the pitch, and it wasn't particularly close. What a joy for City to have Rodri back playing like this. **8**

**Silva:** Did not do enough with the ball in the final third, but his workrate was outstanding again and he ensured that every teammate was backed up. **7**

**Cherki:** Pretty much nothing he did came off, and it scuppered a number of City attacks. That didn't stop him trying, though. **6**

**Reijnders:** Excellent to pick up the ball and smash it into the roof of the net for the City goal. **7**

**Foden:** Gets shunted out to the wing a bit too much for anyone's liking in this team and similar to Cherki in that his best attribute was his running. **6**

**Haaland:** Almost more effective in his own box but he made some good runs that weren't found and was a handful for the Chelsea defence. **7**

**Substitutes**

**Khusanov (for Gvardiol, 51)** His long balls worked for Haaland and his pace was too much for Delap, who resorted to nasty play. **7**

**Doku (for Reijnders, 70)** Gave City a needed threat and played some excellent balls up the pitch. **7**

**Ake (for Dias, 81)** Couldn't keep out the late goal. **6**

**Not used:** Trafford, Mfuni, Lewis, Mukasa, R. Heskey, McAidoo
