According to Erik Spoelstra, Herro remains unavailable on a day-to-day basis due to his ongoing toe recovery and might finally play at some point on their four-game road trip.
The Miami Heat have listed franchise star Tyler Herro (toe) as "available" on their Sunday matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. Yet apparently, it is expected that he won't be appearing in the game.

Team: Miami Heat
Position: SG, PG
Age: 25
Height: 196 cm
Weight: 90 kg
Birth place: United States of America
In his pregame address, head coach Erik Spoelstra further elaborated on the health status of the franchise star.
“Well, he’s putting in a lot of work, he’s getting closer," Spoelstra said, per ClutchPoints' Zachary Weinberger. "He’ll be traveling with us, but he’s still day to day, I don’t have an exact date on when he’ll be ready.”
Herro has been nursing a right big toe contusion all season long. The Miami guard only appeared for six games this 2025-26 season due to the injury.
As he played after missing the initial portion of the season upon offseason ankle surgery recovery, Herro eventually sustained the toe issue that forced him to be absent since early December.
He is averaging 23.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
As he won't suit up for the Heat this weekend, Herro might finally play on Tuesday on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
