Manchester City Held at Home by Chelsea: Reaction & Media

Disaster at the Etihad or a sign of things to come? Manchester City drew, 1-1, after a last minute goal by Chelsea, to take away two points from Pep Guardiola and his players.

The club played a decent 90, but the concentration loss and real lack of tact in the final minutes have cost City two valuable points. They now sit six behind league leaders. Lots of matches left, but this was a huge missed opportunity.

_“We managed quite well in the first half._

_“In the second half they had chances. We lost two balls in the beginning. We missed talented players at the end - two against one and three against two._

_“They didn’t create much. We were extraordinary in all departments except we could not score a second or a third or a fourth._

_“Of course in the second half they made a step up, first half they were a little more cautious and then had nothing to lose and at the end they found the reward.”_

_“We were close and the way we were incredible at Sunderland in the second half and today we didn’t score goals and be clinical is a part of all the stats._

_“We can create chances and expected goals are higher than everyone, but we have to do it._

_“As a manager what I said to the team, never could be more a part of that._

_“We played really good against this team. Really good.”_
