Per Shams Charania of ESPN, Jones Jr. has sustained a Grade 2 right MCL sprain. He will be unavailable for six weeks as he sustained the injury in the team's 146-115 loss against the Boston Celtics after a diving Payton Pritchard accidentally collided with his leg.

It is undeniably a repeated unfortunate circumstance for Jones Jr. This is a recurrence of the exact same injury that previously sidelined him for 17 games earlier this season.

As such, he also sustained it against the Celtics last November.

In 17 games he played this year, the veteran forward is averaging a career-high 10.4 points and 1.2 blocks this year, shooting an efficient 55.6 percent from the field

With Jones Jr. out, John Collins is expected to step up again for the Clippers. Nicolas Batum, Kobe Sanders and Kobe Brown are also slated to regain increased minutes under head coach Ty Lue.
