Rumours this weekend began to suggest United had made contact with Premier League rivals Brighton over the January transfer of Carlos Baleba. Old Trafford officials did not complete the signing last summer and have kept a close watch of the situation.
However, Seagulls CEO Paul Barber set the record straight speaking with talkSPORT on Saturday.
"No call from Old Trafford. No call from anyone connected to Manchester United," he stated. "We have no plans or desire to sell Carlos in this window, or in any future window, but we know he's a talented player and he's got a lot of options ahead of him in the future."
