Enzo Fernandez’s reaction to Pedro Neto’s miss against Man City sums up winger’s current form

Pedro Neto was a key part of the celebrations when Chelsea snatched a point from the jaws of defeat against Manchester City at the Etihad.

The Blues were second best in the first half, but interim manager Calum McFarlane’s substitutions helped them wrestle control back of the match.

The introduction of Andrey Santos into the heart of midfield allowed Enzo Fernandez to push further forward, and it was the World Cup winner who popped up in the six-yard box to eventually level proceedings.

Enzo Fernandez furious with Pedro Neto after miss vs Man City

He is now six games without a goal for the Blues, five of those playing the entire 90 minutes, and the disappointment on his own face was clear to see.

It was equally prevalent on Fernandez, who threw his arms out in disgust before pointing at the goal that Neto should have hit.

With a new manager set to arrive at Stamford Bridge, the pressure is on any member of the first team squad who is in a battle for their place, and Neto is no different.

Estevao Willian didn’t have his best game against City, but is knocking on the door for more regular appearances in attack.

He will have been particularly pleased with the performances off the bench of Santos and Liam Delap, two players he has previously worked with in his managerial career.

There will in truth have plenty of positives for Rosenior to see from the Chelsea side, particularly in the second half, with a lot still to play for in the second half of the season.
