They are under pressure to comply with the League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), and a bid in excess of ₤120 million would do a lot to ease their concerns, albeit at the expense of losing a player that seems destined to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad in this summer’s World Cup.
