**Arsenal Women have signed Sweden right-back Smilla Holmberg from Hammarby IF on a long-term contract.**
She had been with Hammarby since the age of seven, making her senior debut at the age of just 15 and totalling 96 appearances with 10 goals for the club, whom she helped win the Swedish league title and twice the Swedish Cup.
For her country she has nine caps and one goal and she played three times at Euro 2025 as Sweden reached the quarter-finals.
