Chelsea fans will not have to wait long before their new permanent manager is announced following the departure of Enzo Maresca.
Liam Rosenior is expected to be confirmed in the coming hours as the new boss, after U21s manager Calum McFarlane took charge of the 1-1 draw with Manchester City.
This game was an opportunity for some players to make an early impression on Rosenior, with Andrey Santos and Liam Delap amongst those who took that chance.

There was plenty of money in transfer fees on the Chelsea bench at the Etihad. Not all of them were trusted with getting the Blues back into the game.

Jamie Gittens tipped to ‘flourish’ under Liam Rosenior at Chelsea
Jamie Gittens was an unused sub, after being brought in for big money from Borussia Dortmund over the summer.
He has flattered to deceive this season though, although journalist Barry Cooper told Football London that he believes Gittens could enjoy a change in form now Rosenior is set to come through the door.
He said: “He’ll love Reece James, who should be England’s right-back at the World Cup if he can stay fit, and somebody like Jamie Gittens could also flourish under him, and so, too, Tyrique George, but he won’t be afraid to promote players from the academy if he believes they’re good enough.”
There have not been many moments to shout about for the England U21 star so far, barring his goal of the year against Wolves in the EFL Cup.

Gittens can nail down regular role at Chelsea
Despite his poor start, it does not feel as if it will take much for Gittens to become a regular in the Chelsea side.

Alejandro Garnacho has also not nailed down a spot in the starting XI, and it was Pedro Neto who started on the left against City on Sunday.
There are certainly improvements needed from Gittens, but a new manager and fresh faith could be exactly what he needs to flourish.
Given the fact that Chelsea paid big money to bring him in, it would be a great start for Rosenior with the owners to get more out of him at Stamford Bridge.
