Giannis Antetokounmpo spoke about his growing responsibilities in the Milwaukee Bucks offense after guiding them to a 115-98 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. “I like bringing the ball up, setting everyone in position, and running the play,” he said.
The Greek Freak poured in 37 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in just 31 minutes, connecting on 13-of-17 shots from the field and 11-of-13 at the free-throw line.
“Do I believe that I can facilitate, I can make plays? Yeah. Do I believe that I got to give them space for them to grow? Yeah…today we check the stats, seven assists or more, I’ve won 69% of my games, eight assists or more, 73% of my games. So pretty much when I’m a point guard, we win,” Giannis remarked during his postgame availability. He had one assist.

“We got to keep on aiming to like score 120, 125, 130, you know, every single day,” Giannis remarked during his post-game availability.
“I got to give them space to grow…they know how to control the game. Right now probably try to kind of facilitate as much as I can from the post, which probably I’m doing it more than I’ve done in my career,” Antetokounmpo also emphasized his role in mentoring the Bucks’ young guards, Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins.

The Bucks jumped out to a commanding start, putting up 62 first-half points while holding Sacramento to 43 percent shooting. Giannis praised his team’s defense, saying, “Defensively, we let them score 98 points, which I’m happy about.”
Even after the Kings narrowed a 24-point gap to five in the third quarter, Milwaukee regained momentum with an 18-5 run to seal the game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks climbed to 16-20 and will kick off a three-game road trip starting Wednesday in Golden State.
