Milwaukee Bucks trade package for Zach LaVine revealed

The Bucks and Kings have held exploratory trade talks involving Zach LaVine, with Milwaukee potentially sending Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis to Sacramento, though negotiations are complicated by the Kings' insistence on including the Bucks' 2031 first-round pick.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings have recently engaged in exploratory trade discussions centered around two-time NBA All-Star guard Zach LaVine, according to Evan Sidery of Forbes.

In the proposed framework, Milwaukee would send Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis to Sacramento.

However, the Kings are reportedly firm in their stance that the Bucks' 2031 first-round pick must be included. Given the uncertainty surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo's long-term future, Milwaukee is hesitant to part with that selection.

LaVine is averaging 20.2 points per game this season while shooting 48.7 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from three-point range. He is owed $47.5 million this year and holds a $48.97 million player option for the 2026–27 season.

Kuzma is posting 12.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. While he is shooting an efficient 51.1 percent from the field, his 30.7 percent accuracy from beyond the arc has limited his effectiveness as a floor spacer.

Portis, meanwhile, is averaging 13.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in his sixth season with the Bucks.
