When and how to watch Lakers games in Apple Immersive format on Vision Pro

Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers will soon be able to watch live games via the Apple Vision Pro, as part of Spectrum Front Row in Apple Immersive. Here's how and when to do it.

In October, Apple and Spectrum announced a partnership to stream a selection of live Lakers basketball games during the 2025-2026 season, viewable through the Apple Vision Pro headset. The first game of that partnership is about to be streamed.

Apple revealed on Monday that Apple Vision Pro users in the Lakers' regional broadcast territory will be able to watch select home games live in Apple Immersive. This covers users in Southern California, Hawaii, and parts of Southern Nevada.

The games will be viewable through the new Spectrum SportsNet app and the NBA app, and can be watched live. The first game will be on January 9, with the Lakers taking on the Milwaukee Bucks.

Spectrum Front Row in Apple Immersive will use a feed at up to 150Mbps and provide seven unique viewing angles, including the scorer's table, areas behind the baskets, a high and wide view of the arena, the player tunnel, the broadcast booth, and a roaming courtside perspective.

Along with the live feed itself, all of the in-game graphics, such as lower thirds, rosters, and shot clocks, will appear in 3D. Spatial audio will be provided via Ambisonic microphones.

Full game replays and highlights will also be available in Apple Immersive format across the United States, as well as select international markets where the Apple Vision Pro is available. The first replay will be available from January 11.

For regional broadcast territory users, it will be available to all Spectrum Internet customers and video subscribers of any provider that includes Spectrum SportsNet in the package. For other U.S. markets and internationally, a free NBA ID will be needed to use the NBA app.

An Apple Vision Pro with M2 or M5 chip will be required for viewing, complete with visionOS 26 installed on the headset.

The initial schedule of games is:

January 9: Los Angeles Lakers vs Milwaukee Bucks

February 5: Los Angeles Lakers vs Philadelphia 76ers

Februaru 20: Los Angeles Lakers vs Los Angeles Clippers

March 5: Los Angeles Lakers vs Denver Nuggets

March 10: Los Angeles Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves

March 30: Los Angeles Lakers vs Washington Wizards
