Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester City are ‘vying’ RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, according to Africa Foot.
On November 12th, SportBild reported Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are keen on signing the 19-year-old.
Last month, Sky Sport CH stated Tottenham and Liverpool are in advanced contact for the winger’s transfer.
Africa Foot report Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are all keen. The Red Devils have made advances to try and get ahead in the transfer race.
According to them, there was a meeting between the directors of Manchester United and the Bundesliga side. The Old Trafford club have offered €90m to Leipzig for the Ivory Coast international.
The outlet adds the German club have given Manchester United permission to hold talks with the player regarding personal terms. They are offering a contract until 2030, worth €3.5m per year.
Diomande is currently with the national team at AFCON. The final details of the operation to take him to Manchester United is expected to be finalised before Ivory Coast’s run in the ongoing tournament.
On New Year’s Eve, RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff admitted Diomande could leave in the winter market. This would have encouraged his representative to push for exit.
It’s possible his agent is using Manchester United to put pressure on suitors like Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester City and others.
Earlier today, the Red Devils parted ways with Ruben Amorim. Their immediate focus is to find his permanent successor and there’s been talk of a low January budget. Therefore, Africa Foot’s report of an offer is surprising.
