Arsenal’s Maldini Kacurri bids farewell to Morecambe after loan spell expires

Arsenal defender Maldini Kacurri has bid farewell to Morecambe following the expiry of his loan spell.

Kacurri’s loan deal with the National League club officially expired on January 2nd.

The centre-back wrote on Instagram: ‘A lot of ups and downs but enjoyed and learnt a lot during my time at Morecambe.

‘Thank you to the fans, players and coaching staff for welcoming me, I wish the best for everyone associated with the club going forwards.’

In total Kacurri played 18 times for Morecambe in the National League, while he scored his first senior goal against Brackley.

Earlier this season he made his senior debut for Albania against Gibraltar.

Kacurri played three times while on loan at Bromley in League Two last season having previously featured for the Arsenal first-team against Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup.

It will be interesting to see what the next step is for the 20 year old.
