The Milwaukee Bucks are still trying to fight and make the playoffs this season. Heading into this season, Giannis Antetokounmpo put a mountain of pressure on the organization after he mentioned he was willing to be moved. Even earlier this year, he reiterated that position.

Right now, the Bucks sit 11th in the Eastern Conference standings. Antetokounmpo has made it very clear that he expects to compete for championships. Right now, the Bucks have the 21st-best offense in the NBA, which is not good enough to make the playoffs.

Amid all of the Antetokounmpo uncertainty, Bucks president Peter Feigin has decided that he has had enough.

Bucks President Peter Feigin Leaving the Organization

According to a statement from the Bucks, Feigin will be leaving the team and his role as team president. With Feigin leaving the team, Milwaukee has elevated Josh Glessing to take over the responsibilities. Fiegin has been with the team for 12 seasons.

This is certainly an interesting time for Feigin to decide to leave the organization. With Antetokounmpo as close to leaving the Bucks as he’s ever been, perhaps that is why he has decided to move on. If Antetokounmpo does leave the team, they are in for a massive rebuild.

Feigin helped build a roster that won a championship in 2021, which was the first title for the team in 50 years. He is a well-respected member of the organization. If Antetokounmpo ends up leaving, he might not be the only high-ranking official to leave the team.

Of course, Antetokounmpo could still decide to stay in Milwaukee if the Bucks are able to turn things around. He has played his entire career with the Bucks. Antetokounmpo has said multiple times how much he likes the city of Milwaukee and what the fans mean to him.

Milwaukee Could Make a Big Trade at the Trade Deadline

With the Bucks struggling, they could look to make a desperation trade to try to keep Antetokounmpo pleased with the roster. The problem with doing that is that Milwaukee has very few trade assets to make something happen. Even worse, it would deplete their future if it doesn’t work out.

There have been reports that Milwaukee has been interested in Zach LaVine and Anthony Davis as potential fits at the trade deadline. It’s unclear if either of those players is good enough offensively to drag the Bucks out of the hole they are in so they can make the playoffs.

The best chance that Milwaukee has is for Antetokounmpo to play at an MVP-level and for Myles Turner to get out of this shooting slump. Turner’s offensive game has been a disaster so far, and they are paying him almost $109 million over four years.

Milwaukee still has another month to figure out a way to convince Antetokounmpo to stay with the team for years to come. They could also decide to trade him for a massive haul if the right team gives them an offer.
