Ahead of their Monday matchup against the Phoenix Suns, head coach Ime Udoka told reporters that Sengun (ankle) will be re-evaluated at the end of the week, in which he is estimated to be unavailable for 10 to 14 days.

Udoka noted that Sengun has to “get the swelling and pain tolerance down” and improve his mobility before finally making his return to the Rockets.

Sengun sustained a right ankle sprain within the first minute of the Rockets' 110-104 Saturday loss against the Dallas Mavericks.

He landed awkwardly after grabbing a rebound, entered the locker room for further checking and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Sengun is averaging a career-high 21.8 points and 6.5 assists with 9.0 rebounds in 28 games this season. His absence will be huge for the Rockets, but the team has a solid backup unit to tap from Steven Adams and Clint Capela.

With the help of Sengun, the Rockets are currently a top-five team in the West with a 21-11 record.
