In pregame, the team announced that Harden has been made unavailable due to right shoulder stiffness.

This marks the third absence of Harden this season. And in his presser, head coach Ty Lue addressed the potential fatigue from the star guard in leading the Clippers all season long.

“I think definitely, just body fatigue, all the things he had to do as far as carrying the offense when Kawhi [Leonard] was out," Lue told reporters.

"We didn’t really have a secondary scorer. … He had to do a lot for us.”

This season, Harden is averaging 25.7 points, 8.0 assists and 4.8 boards. He helped the Clippers recover from a brutal season start, winning six consecutive games before their last huge 146-115 loss against the Boston Celtics.
