Phoenix Suns lose on back to back
Phoenix Suns’ two-game win streak came to and end courtesy of Kevin Durant’s clutch 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds remaining as the Houston Rockets pulled away with a 100-97 win Monday night.
The Suns led by as many as 13 points in the game but were outscored 46-37 on a strange night complete with a malfunctioning game clock at the Toyota Center. Devin Booker led all scorers with 27 points but was unable to connect on two late-game opportunities. Dillon Brooks and Royce O’Neale scored 15 points apiece and were two of the other five Suns to finish in double figures.
Durant’s game winner brought him to 26 points on the game while Steven Adams pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds to go with his eight points in the game. The PHNX Suns postgame show dissects what went well and what went wrong for the team as they didn’t quite have enough to leave Houston with a win.
