Press conference this morning–Big Chelsea announcement on the way

RC Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior is the favourite to become Enzo Maresca’s successor at Chelsea. L’Equipe reported this last week, a day after the Blues parted ways with the Italian.

Four days ago, Rosenior confirmed he has held talks with Chelsea over the vacant role at Stamford Bridge.

On Monday, claims from France explained he travelled to London, along with Strasbourg president Marc Keller and sporting director David Weir. The latter two had held talks with the Club World Cup winners yesterday.

RMC Sport now report the former Hull City manager has returned to France from his trip to London.

BlueCo, who own the Premier League side, also own the French club.

Sources close to BlueCo have informed RMC Sport that the Englishman will hold a press conference at 9:30am [local time] on Tuesday morning. There’s expectation for Rosenior to say goodbye to the Ligue 1 side today.

With Rosenior set to move to the west London club, Strasbourg have to find a new coach. RMC Sport state ‘everything could be resolved quickly’.

Chelsea hope to have Rosenior on the bench for the FA Cup clash against Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
