Simpson-Pusey joins FC Koln on loan

Jahmai Simpson-Pusey will spend the rest of the 2025/26 season on loan at Bundesliga side FC Koln.

The move sees the 20-year-old end his time at Celtic, where he has been for the first half of the campaign.

An imposing centre back, Simpson-Pusey joined City at Under-9 level and progressed all the way through to the youth ranks, eventually appearing for the first team last season.

He played six times for Pep Guardiola’s side in 2024/25 across the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup before leading our Elite Development Squad to the Premier League 2 title.

He was subsequently named the Premier League 2 Player of the Season, making him the first defender ever to receive the award.

The Mancunian-born youngster also captained City to FA Youth Cup glory when we recorded a 4-0 final victory over Leeds United in 2023/24 at the Etihad.

He will now continue his development in the German top-flight.

Everyone at Manchester City wishes Jahmai the best of luck during his loan spell.
