Chelsea forward Alejandro Garnacho has made his feelings clear about Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho has already told Liam Rosenior exactly what he'll want to hear after the Strasbourg boss was appointed as Enzo Maresca's successor.
The Argentinian says the Blues dressing room is itching to impress the 41-year-old, who signed a six-year deal with Chelsea earlier this morning.
Garnacho, who signed for Chelsea under Maresca, admitted he was sad to see the Italian head coach leave the club, but that he and the team were ready for what is to follow.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Garnacho said: "It's always sad when a manager goes, but he's a really good guy and I learned a lot from him but I signed for Chelsea. We have to keep working, keep moving and be ready for what is coming.
"I think we started the season well but the last few weeks were a little more difficult because of the results and everything. But I said before, our main goal is to try to keep winning games.
"A new manager is going to come in but we are still the same team. We have to be ready for Wednesday and that's out job.
"Yeah you're always going to try to prove yourself and show him, but I said before, it's exactly the same. A new guy will have new ideas or new things but you're always going to have to show something to play.
"That's why we're here. We're a really young team and obviously have three, four or five players who are like captains and more experienced.
"The rest, we're really young and I think we help each other which is good for the environment in the dressing room also. Now, we have to keep focused on the season and try to do our best.
"A new manager is coming, for example, we had the Under-21s manager [against Man City] but on the pitch, we're the same players so I think with the mentality and character we have, that's why we got a point and want to keep fighting."
