Brighton are among a host of clubs who have reportedly been offered the chance to sign AS Monaco defender Vanderson.
The right-back has made 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season, registering two assists, but he now appears keen to make a move to the Premier League before the end of the month.
Vanderson has been linked with a host of top European clubs over the past few campaigns, with Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid all registering an interest in acquiring his services at some point following his move to the Ligue 1 in 2021.
But now the 24-year-old seems to have taken matters into his own hands as he seeks an exit from the Stade Louis II.
According to TEAMtalk, Brighton, Tottenham and Everton have all been ‘approached by intermediaries’ to discuss a potential move for Vanderson.
Crystal Palace have also enquired about signing the Brazil international in their bid to bring in an alternative option to Daniel Munoz at right-back, with the Colombia international currently sidelined after undergoing knee surgery.
Vanderson’s contract with Monaco runs until 2028, and therefore the French outfit are in no immediate hurry to offload their No. 2.
Sebastien Pocognoli’s side previously paid £10million to sign the attacking-minded defender from Gremio, and so they have ruled that they will demand at least £20m to facilitate his exit over the coming weeks.
With Joel Veltman teasing the idea of a return to Ajax and Mats Wieffer still not entirely settled as a right-back, it remains to be seen whether the opportunity to sign Vanderson appeals to the higher powers at Brighton.
The Seagulls are said to be in the market for a right-back this month, though they may have other targets in mind as opposed to coming to the rescue of a wantaway star, despite his experience in the Champions League.
