Real Madrid are facing a delicate moment with one of their biggest stars, as uncertainty continues to surround the future of Vinicius Jr.
Despite his importance on the pitch and his status as one of the faces of the club, recent weeks have been uncomfortable for the Brazilian forward, both on and off the field.
According to an update shared by Defensa Central, though, in conversations with the club hierarchy, Vinicius has told the club that he wishes to stay“for many more years”.
A difficult time for Vinicius
This clarity comes despite the difficult atmosphere Vinicius has been dealing with at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The winger has found himself at odds with sections of the Real Madrid fanbase, who have not held back in showing their frustration.
He was booed during the match against Sevilla, and the same reaction followed last weekend against Real Betis.
It has been a challenging period for a player who has often carried the team in decisive moments.
Even so, Vinicius has personally conveyed his intentions to Florentino Perez during recent discussions.

Within the club, there is little doubt about where the president stands, as Perez is considered one of Vinicius’ strongest supporters and is determined to secure his long-term future.
Although there has been some disappointment regarding certain aspects of the renewal process, the club understands that the player’s agent is simply pushing for the best possible deal for both himself and his client.
Recent interest from Chelsea
Speculation around Vinicius’ future intensified in recent hours following reports from the English media.
After months of speculation linking him with Saudi clubs, it was claimed that Chelsea were ready to submit “a £135 million offer” next summer.
However, it later emerged that Chelsea are not a realistic option, largely because they would be unable to meet Vinicius’ wage demands.
Looking ahead, there are still six months until the summer of 2026, a point by which the club wants full clarity on the player’s intentions.
Vinicius’ current contract runs until 2027, and if he maintains a stance of not renewing, Madrid may attempt to force a sale.
