Chelsea have announced Liam Rosenior as their new manager, with the 41-year-old joining from their sister club Strasbourg.
On Tuesday morning, Rosenior revealed that he had agreed to join Chelsea. Shortly after, the club confirmed his arrival.
The above comes following Enzo Maresca’s departure last week. The Italian is now being linked with the Manchester United job.
How would you feel about Enzo Maresca going to Man Utd? 🤔

However, United legend Paul Scholes is against the idea of Maresca joining the Red Devils.

Liam Rosenior has longer contract than Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart
Rosenior has signed a six-and-a-half-year deal, which will take his stay to Stamford Bridge to 2032.
According to journalist Matt Law, Chelsea’s sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart have contracts up until 2031.
It means that Rosenior could outlast the duo if all goes to plan, though that seems very unlikely to happen.
Chelsea are certainly backing the new head coach 👀

Since taking over Chelsea in 2022, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have already sacked two managers and parted ways with another two after mutual agreement.
It would be a surprise if Rosenior lasted two years at Stamford Bridge, let alone six and a half. Winstanley and Stewart are not the most respected men in football right now, but they have a much better chance of finishing their contracts than Rosenior.

Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart not going anywhere any time soon
Plenty of Chelsea fans would probably love to see Winstanley and Stewart depart before Rosenior.
They have not been impressed with the transfer business that the two sporting directors have done at the club.
Some Chelsea supporters recently questioned Winstanley and Stewart for not signing Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.
However, the club’s owners really seem to trust them and are backing them after handing the two directors such lengthy contracts. For the time being, they will not be going anywhere, which is not what some Chelsea fans will want to hear.
Of course, some signings under Winstanley and Stewart have worked out, namely Cole Palmer. Joe Shields is the man who deserves the credit for that particular piece of business, though.
