Liverpool have been urged to sign Jarrod Bowen after his qualities were previously hailed by Jurgen Klopp. The West Ham captain has been linked with a move to the Reds on several occasions in the past and the 29-year-old remains highly-rated despite his club's current woes.
The east London outfit currently sit 18th in the Premier League after suffering a 3-0 loss at bottom side Wolves on Saturday. Bowen has been West Ham's best player by some distance during a disastrous season for the club so far.
As the danger of relegation looms, the forward could be forced to seek a move elsewhere, especially if he wants to nail down a spot in Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the World Cup. And former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster believes Bowen would be an ideal fit at Anfield under Arne Slot.
Speaking on the Fozcast podcast, the ex-Watford and Wrexham stopper said: "He could honestly play for quite a lot of teams. He could play for Liverpool quite happily and he would suit Liverpool down to the ground. You'd get three or four years out of him at the same level and intensity.
"The reason why he's always with England and he's always selected is because he's a good lad, he does it properly, he works hard and he's got real quality. Somebody would have him if he left West Ham and he would make them a better team. I don't care who it is."
Foster's glowing praise for Bowen reflects the plaudits once bestowed on the player by Slot's Liverpool predecessor Jurgen Klopp. The German was open in expressing his admiration for the West Ham star on a number of occasions.

Speaking ahead of a Carabao Cup clash between the Reds and the Hammers in December 2023, Klopp described Bowen as "probably my favorite player besides my players". He later added: "It's just great what he's doing and how he develops."
The remarks followed previous compliments from the former Liverpool boss in November 2021.
Speaking at the time, Klopp said: "I like Bowen a lot. He made his way up from Hull and took not too long to get there, to show exactly what kind of player he can be in the Premier League as well."
Only a few months later, Klopp said: "Bowen, what a player he became, unbelievable. We saw him as well at Hull and he was really good that time, but I'm not sure a lot of people expected this jump. Unbelievable player."
West Ham signed Bowen from Hull City on transfer deadline day in January 2020 and he has since scored 80 goals in 258 games for the club, also providing 53 assists.
His current contract with the Hammers runs until June 2030, but his father-in-law Danny Dyer admitted last year that he'd accept Bowen leaving if he had the chance to join a big club like Real Madrid.
The die-hard West Ham fan said: "I'm not going to lie, it would hurt, but he's a grown man and he makes his own decisions. It would obviously hurt, but of course I would be over the moon for him."
