Liam Rosenior has been announced as the new Chelsea manager, replacing Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge following a fruitful spell in France with Strasbourg.
The Englishman confirmed his departure from the Ligue 1 club this morning in a press conference before putting pen to paper on a mammoth five-a-and-half-year deal. Strasbourg have the same owners as Chelsea, under the BlueCo ownership, seeing Rosenior ultimately earn a promotion.
Rosenior said in his farewell to Strasbourg that he was looking forward to “going home and see my kids”. The 41-year-old and his wife Erika share four children together, but they have been living apart since Rosenior took the Strasbourg job.

The couple share a family home in Derbyshire but Erika and the kids remained in England, deciding not to relocate to France.
However, Rosenior made frequent trips back to the family home during international breaks to spend time with his loved ones.
Rosenior’s personal life remains largely secretive but it’s known that he married his American wife in a picturesque waterside ceremony before partying at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes.

"My job is to protect that identity and create a team that reflects these values in every game we play as we continue winning trophies.
