NBC welcomed one of the biggest names in hip-hop to its Olympics coverage several years ago and now Snoop Dogg is making appearances during NBA games as well.
The legendary rapper appeared courtside during Monday’s broadcast between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers. And while many NBA fans were skeptical of the decision by NBC, he offered some great moments.

Snoop Dogg was quick to judge the modern NBA and stated that it’s not anything close to what he was used to growing up in California.

“Oh, this is a straight mismatch right here,” Snoop Dogg said on the broadcast. “Get the ball up and go down .. They don’t play the way I played in the 80’s … Post up big fella. You’re 7-feet tall.”

The broadcast was a huge success for NBC though given how many people were talking about the rapper’s presence. He will soon feature again for the network during their upcoming Winter Olympics coverage in Italy.

However, it’s very possible that Snoop Dogg does more with the NBA as NBC’s coverage extends during its first season back hosting the product after many years away.
