In terms of incomings, Chelsea are set for a very quiet January transfer window.
Chelsea did explore signing Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, but they cooled their interest in the 25-year-old, who is now likely to join Manchester City.
Chelsea could still sign a new attacker after cooling their interest in Antoine Semenyo. Who would you target, or are you content with Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens?

In the summer, it should be a different story. It is already being reported that Chelsea want to bring in an experienced centre-back.
Another midfielder could also arrive at Stamford Bridge, though there is one name Chelsea may have to cross off their list.

Juventus confident they can beat Chelsea to Sandro Tonali’s signature
Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali has recently been linked with a move to Chelsea. However, they do not appear to be the favourites to land him.
According to TEAMtalk, Juventus are also keen on Tonali and believe that they are “more credible candidates” than Chelsea to sign the 25-year-old.
At present, the Club World Cup winners have some very good midfield options, including Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
Chelsea also have Andrey Santos, who starred in their 1-1 draw with Manchester City. Clearly, though, there are concerns surrounding Romeo Lavia’s fitness.
Romeo Lavia’s injury record could force Chelsea to sign a new midfielder in 2026. Who would you buy if Kobbie Mainoo isn’t available?

The Belgian continues to struggle with injuries, explaining why Chelsea would want to sign another midfielder like Tonali. But it looks like sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley will miss out on him.

Sandro Tonali would be top signing for Chelsea
It seems unlikely, but if Chelsea were to land Tonali, he would be a great addition to their side.
Chelsea need more experience, which Tonali would bring after playing for Newcastle, AC Milan and the Italy national team. He is also a well-rounded midfielder who relishes a battle in the middle of the park.
It is thought that Chelsea want more players who are physical and athletic, so Tonali could be ideal. Whether it is the Italy international or someone else, it looks like a new midfielder will arrive at Stamford Bridge this year following Lavia’s injury woes.
