Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner says he “does not know what will happen” with captain Marc Guehi’s future this month, amid speculation that ARSENAL, Liverpool and Manchester City are all keen on the defender
Guehi has established himself as one of the most highly regarded and sought-after defenders in Premier League football since leaving boyhood side Chelsea for Palace in 2021.
A series of strong performances at Euro 2024 only enhanced Guehi’s reputation and the likes of Manchester United, ARSENAL, Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool were all credited with an interest following those performances for his country a few seasons ago.
Palace have managed to fend off their Premier League rivals to keep hold of Guehi and handed the centre-half the captain’s armband ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, but now Sky Sports News understands Palace are expected to consider offers below last summer’s asking price in January after he almost signed for Liverpool on Deadline Day for £35m in the summer.
Glasner confirmed Guehi will play at home against Aston Villa on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports, but is unsure of his long-term future – The Austrian said: “I don’t know what will happen. It’s just the 6th [of January].
“Honestly, I don’t know. Injuries can happen, you never know.
“But I know Marc will play tomorrow. I expect it. He trained. But I don’t know what will happen.”
