Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is apparently playing through a bunch of injuries.

After Monday’s 103-102 loss to the LA Clippers, the Warriors’ defensive ace revealed that he got severely banged up during the game, even though he logged 32 minutes.

“I’m beat the f**up. Sorry, I’m beat the hell up,” Green told reporters after the game, via ESPN’s Anthony Slater.

Draymond Green said he’s “beat the f*** up” after this Clippers game. Banged up his rib, ankle and left wrist.

Green sat out the final minute of the first quarter after he dove for a loose ball and crashed into the bench, hurting his ribcage in the process. Then, early in the third quarter, he twisted his left ankle, forcing the Warriors to take a timeout to give him treatment. The Warriors announced during the game that he suffered a rib contusion.

Draymond Green just twisted his left ankle early in the third quarter. Suffered a rib contusion (per Warriors) on that first half crash into the bench. He’s getting ankle stretched on bench during timeout, but looks like he’s remaining in the game. Painful night.

Draymond Green shaken up late in the first half in Los Angeles. Dove for a loose ball and crashed into the bench, started grabbing at his back and rested final minute of second quarter. Warriors down 55-51 to the Clippers. They had 11 steals, but went 5-of-22 on 3s.

Draymond Green Injuries Pile Up

Green confirmed he was dealing with injuries to his ribs, ankle and left wrist, but vowed to be ready for Wednesday’s game against the Milwauke Bucks.

“[The] crash into the bench,” Green said of how het got banged up.

“I knocked a rib out, then right after that, I rolled my ankle, I fell on my wrist, I hurt my left wrist. It’s just the accumulation of this game.”

“I’ll be alright on Wednesday.”

It’s worth noting that Green sat out last Friday’s clash against the Oklahoma City Thunder for rest since the Warriors didn’t want him to play in back-to-backs against the Thunder and Utah Jazz over the weekend. Historically, Green has been an iron man for Golden State, rarely ever sitting out back-to-backs for rest.

Is Draymond Green Washed?

The Warriors have legitimate reason to be worried about Green, who turns 36 in March, and is no longer the player who helped the franchise win four NBA titles. Green is averaging his fewest rebounds (5.9) since the 2013-14 season, fewest assists (5.4) since 2014-15 and fewest steals (0.9) and blocks (0.8) since his rookie year.

According to ESPN Research, the Warriors have a plus/minus of -65 with Green on the court since Dec. 1 and +90 with him off the court — numbers that suggest they are no longer as reliant on him for their defensive and playmaking assignments.

Also worth noting is that Green’s defensive efficiency of 110.7 this season is the worst of his 14-year career. On Monday’s episode of “NBA Today,” Anthony Slater raised some pertinent questions.

“They want him here forever, really, but if he’s going to hold them back on the court, they kinda have to figure stuff out over the next few years,” Slater said of the Warriors.

ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins said he “feels sorry” for Stephen Curry for having to put up with Green’s dip in form and the lack of development for Golden State’s young core.

Quick hit on NBA Today on Draymond Green trying to rediscover that winning impact. He has three of the best eight plus/minus seasons in NBA history, but is a cumulative -65 since the start of December.

The Warriors reportedly have no intention of trading Draymond Green before the Feb.5 deadline. But if his game keeps nosediving, they may have to reevaluate their options. Green has a Player Option worth $25.8M for the 2026-27 season.
