Chelsea fans are just days away from seeing their new manager take charge of his first game as permanent head coach.
Liam Rosenior has been appointed as the new manager of the club following the departure of Enzo Maresca. Calum McFarlane took the reins for the trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City.
McFarlane will take charge of the game against Fulham as well in order to allow Rosenior the chance to have a number of sessions with his new squad before leading them into the FA Cup against Charlton.

One thing that Chelsea can confirm is that they are getting a manager who has experience using young players to his advantage. Andrey Santos is one of the talented youngsters at the club who has previously worked with the Englishman.

Kendry Paez’s Chelsea career could be over after Liam Rosenior hiring
Chelsea loanees have been regular sightings at Strasbourg of late, and Kendry Paez is one player who has been out in France this season.
Despite being seen as a generational signing in 2024, things have not worked out as he would have liked in what is surely his final audition before a career at Stamford Bridge.
Paez has notched up just over 400 minutes so far this season, with him clearly not fancied completely by manager at the time, Rosenior.
The fact that he was not able to impress him at a team not on Chelsea’s level already casts doubt over whether he can make it in West London.

Paez’s attitude recently called into question
Paez has also been slammed by French media for some of his performances, with his attitude also called into question of late.
The Ecuador international’s signing was seen on par with Estevao Willian, however his South American counterpart has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.
With Chelsea always looking out for the next young talented player, the signings they make do not have long to make their mark before they are replaced.
Time may already have run out for Paez, especially if Rosenior finds players already in the first team squad can perform the role better.
