Arsenal Plan To Battle Man City For£35m“Leading Target”With 3 England Caps

Arsenal are reportedly plotting a move to sign a Man City transfer target who has three caps for England.

Mikel Arteta has already spoken about the fact that he’s very happy with his current squad. However, the Arsenal boss has hinted that the Gunners could make some signings in January if they get the chance to land their top targets.

Arsenal have already been linked with Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, and considering they are embroiled in a title fight against Manchester City yet again, strengthening their squad could be the difference between a Premier League title, and another second place.

In recent months, Arteta has had to deal with several defensive injuries, with the likes of Riccardo Calafiori, Jurrien Timber and Gabriel all suffering problems. He could opt to bring in more depth at the back in January.

Arsenal plotting a move for Tino Livramento

According to fresh reports, Arsenal are interested in Newcastle United full-back Tino Livramento, who has been a long-term target for rivals Manchester City, who are looking for a replacement for Kyle Walker, who left for Burnley in the summer.

LondonWorld are reporting that Livramento is a “leading target” for Arsenal as Andrea Berta has identified the 23-year-old as a player who fits the profile that the Gunners want to sign. Livramento is a proven Premier League talent, who has also shown to be a quality England international.

So far this season, the English full-back has made 17 appearances for Newcastle, more so at the right-back position. However, the 23-year-old can also play at left-back, the sort of versatility which could be vital for Arsenal, especially if they suffer more injuries.

He has an estimated market value of around £35m, but seeing as Newcastle have always been desperate to keep hold of him throughout Man City’s interest in him, they could demand a much higher fee this month if the Gunners were to go in for him.
