Arsenal and Man United target available this month

Premier League leaders Arsenal host reigning champions Liverpool on Thursday night.

The Gunners currently boast a six-point lead over second-placed Manchester City at the top of the table, having beaten Bournemouth 3-2 in their last outing.

Manager Mikel Arteta will want to see his side kick on in the second half of the campaign and lift the title, having finished second in each of the past two seasons.

Off the pitch, it has emerged that an Arsenal transfer target could be available during this month’s transfer window.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal target Karim Adeyemi is set to be made available for transfer this month.

The Germany international currently plays for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, but the report claims that he has been put on the transfer list this month having struggled so far this term.

Adeyemi, 23, joined Dortmund from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg back in 2022 and has since made 129 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 32 goals and providing 22 assists.

So far this term, though, the forward has started only ten of Dortmund’s 15 league matches and has netted just six times in 22 games in all competitions.

Despite his relatively poor form, Dortmund’s decision to put Adeyemi up for sale is said to have alerted both Arsenal and Premier League rivals Manchester United.

The German striker is contracted to his current club until the end of next season, which could have some bearing on his price tag.

Arsenal and Man United are both said to have enquired about the forward’s availability, while Spanish champions Barcelona are also credited with an interest.

The report suggests that Bundesliga giants Dortmund value the player at around £50-60 million, however the club are said to be aware that they may have to lower their asking price to reflect Adeyemi’s recent struggles.
