Nikola Jokic is one of the most durable superstars in the modern NBA. The Denver Nuggets man has never played fewer than 69 games in a season during his career. So when he got injured against the Miami Heat, fans were naturally concerned. But the latest Jokic injury update is a largely positive one.
When Jokic went down holding his knee, many fans feared it was a serious injury. However, it was revealed after that the 3-time MVP had hyperextended his knee. Reports said he was set to miss a month. And now Shams Charania has said the Nuggets star is already shooting on the court.

“Nikola Jokic is rehabbing around the clock,” Charania said. “He’s been weightlifting, he’s been doing cardio on the bike, he’s been icing that knee. And I’m told he has started spot shooting on the court.
“The Nuggets won’t be rushing Nikola Jokic back, so you’re looking at the end of this month as a window for that. They still need to allow him to build some movement.”

Denver has been decimated by injuries in the past month. Yet they are still finding ways to win, as they showed in their latest 125-124 win against the Sixers. If they can continue to stay afloat, it seems like Jokic’s return will come sooner rather than later in January.
