Luka Doncic responded to LeBron James' kind words after the Pelicans' win by praising his leadership and saying their on-court communication and chemistry are improving.
Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic has become the clear cornerstone of the franchise, and even LeBron James acknowledges that the team needs to adjust to the Slovenian's play style.

"Luka doesn't need to bend his game," James said after Tuesday's 111-103 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. "He's our 26-year-old franchise player, so it's up to us to bend our game around him and figure it out."
Doncic reacted to these words by the 41-year-old legend:
"I mean, LeBron's been absolutely amazing," Luka said. "Just helping me out, helping others out, being super efficient on the field goals. But yeah, that's LeBron, he can do anything, so just really appreciate him.
"Like I said, when we're out there, I think we're both playing better with each other game by game, and this is just gonna be improving more," Doncic added.
When asked about how their on-court comfort level has grown, Luka said:
"I mean, just a little bit of everything," he noted. "Probably understanding better what we want for each other. Me understanding what he wants, him understanding what I want.
"Probably a little bit of everything, but just that communication on court. I mean, communication at worst, but you know, thinking about it, what he wants, what I want, so just a little bit of that."
Luka just continues to marvel at LeBron's longevity.
"It's just insane. Like probably me at 41, I'll be limping around," Doncic said with a smile. "But all jokes aside, I mean it's incredible just to watch that every day."
Doncic, now the Lakers' primary offensive option, is leading the NBA with 33.7 points per game, along with 8.1 rebounds and 8.7 assists.
With him leading the charge, the Lakers improved to 23-11 and currently sit third in the Western Conference.
