Barcelona forward leaves Haaland and Mbappe behind with a record €343 million valuation

A new report published by the CIES Football Observatory, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, has once again reinforced the extraordinary rise of Lamine Yamal, placing the Barcelona forward at the very top of world football in terms of market value.

According to the study, Yamal is now valued at an astonishing €343 million, a figure that does not just lead the rankings, but completely redefines them.

What makes the number even more striking is the gap between Yamal and the rest of his generation.

Among players under the age of 20, the Barcelona winger has effectively tripled the valuation of his peers, standing alone at the summit.

A look at the valuation

Yamal’s valuation keeps him as the most expensive footballer on the planet, ahead of two proven goal-scoring machines who continue to dominate European football.

Erling Haaland is valued at €255 million, while Kylian Mbappe sits at €201 million.

Despite their experience and goal output, both trail the Barcelona teenager by a significant margin, highlighting how rare Yamal’s profile has become.

Barcelona’s influence on the list does not stop there, as Pedri ranks tenth overall with a valuation of €130 million, while Pau Cubarsi leads all defenders worldwide at €110 million.

The list has also seen a notable shift at the top. Last January, Jude Bellingham occupied first place, but he now sits fourth with a valuation of €153 million.

This list is followed by Michael Olise at €137 million and Florian Wirtz at €136 million.

Outside Europe’s top five leagues, the highest-valued player is Vitor Roque, valued at €85 million.

The former Barcelona forward edges ahead of Samu Aghehowa (€76 million) and Geovany Quenda (€70 million), who has already secured a move to Chelsea.
